For years now, the owner of D&R Sharpening Solutions - Dave Martell, has been researching and practicing the art of Japanese knife sharpening.

Dave's studies have led to an understanding of how these knives are constructed and how they need to be sharpened/repaired. This understanding is what has prompted the launch of Japanese Knife Sharpening.com.

What began as a side interest, many years ago, has now blossomed into the birth of a specialized sharpening service dedicated to providing exceptional edges to Japanese knives.
